Gillian Harper
Born and raised in the UK, Gillian has a diversified hospitality, travel and tourism background with a career dedicated to building revenue, partner relations and new business development. She is recognized for her success within the Caribbean Region with her team leadership, branding and re-branding projects and her skills in driving complex marketing, sales and product development programs on a global basis.
In moving to Canada, her early career included prominent tour and travel companies and Gillian was actively involved in the tourism industry being elected to Toronto President and Mid America Governor of the International Federation of Woman’s Travel Organizations (IFWTO) as well as serving as the Travel Service Supplier (TSS) Representative on the ACTA National board.
Gillian’s career with Alamo Rent-A-Car began with full responsibility for the Canadian Head Office. With a history of steady career advancements during her years with Alamo, Gillian was relocated to London UK as head of European Sales and Marketing where she led the company’s successful effort to build a bridgehead in that market. After returning to the USA, Gillian established the International Marketing Department for Alamo where she executed global Sales and Marketing programs and was responsible for product planning and design, tour operator negotiations, forecasting, market analysis and event planning.
